re·sil·ience
/rəˈzilyəns/
an ability to recover from or adjust easily to misfortune or change

We are a group of behavioral scientists at the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California who study the underlying factors that contribute to mental and physical health, wellbeing, health-related behaviors, and adaptation to stressful life events among diverse populations. These protective factors include posttraumatic growth, mindfulness, spirituality, optimism, genetics, and the social and healthcare environment.
